Contest Rules

*These rules apply to all LSWForum Contests unless otherwise explicitly noted. Rules will be enforced according to the judgment of the Forum administrators, whose decisions are final. Please contact an administrator if you do not understand a rule.*

RULES FOR CONTEST PARTICIPANTS

1. You must build your entry according to the contest guidelines. E.g. if the contest asks you to build a spaceship and you build a tank, your entry will not be valid.

2. You may only submit NEW creations for contests.
a. “New” means: an entirely new build. Modifications to an existing or prior creation are NOT a NEW creation. This means you may not
use a creation used previously for another contest.
b. An entry will not be considered as a “New” creation if it existed PRIOR TO THE START DATE OF THE CONTEST.

3. You must accept the final judgment of the contest host. It's his contest, his prize. If you win, it's your prize. If you lose, it's not. It's that simple.

4. Only submit one entry per post. If you have three entries for a contest and this means you need to put up three posts, then put up three posts. (Note: This is an exception to the double post rule but it's easier for contest hosts to sort out entries.)

5. Your entry post must contain AT LEAST ONE picture of your entry. An entry containing only a link to the picture, but no actual image, be disqualified.

6. You must be at least 13 years old to participate and to receive a prize. For contest entrants under 13, a parent must approve participation and redeem your prize for you.

7. LSWForum and contest host are not responsible for packages being damaged or lost during shipping. You will not be sent a replacement package.

8. All entrants must post a topic for their entry in either the 'Other Creations' forum, the 'Star Wars Creations' forum, or the 'Clone Army Creations' forum. You should still include a description of your entry and link to your entry’s topic in your submission post. Comments on the MOC should be directed to your entry’s topic, NOT the main contest thread.


RULES FOR CONTEST HOSTS
Generally:
1. General Members are allowed to host their own contests on LSW Forums. However, you must post a request in the “Request” forum before posting any contests. As the host forum, LSWForum reserves the right to withhold permission from any user to host any contest for any or no reason whatsoever.

2. All contests, whether hosted by LSWForum or a General Member, are subject to the general contest rules posted above, unless otherwise EXPLICITLY noted. LSWForum admins and contest hosts have the final judgment on this issue.


How to post your own contest:
1. First, place a request for your contest in the “REQUEST” forum. Unauthorized contests are invalid and frequent violations of this rule may result in discipline, which may include revocation of contest host privileges or more severe measures, as the staff deems necessary.

2. Contests should be posted in the “Contest” forum, and should clearly be labeled as a contest (please include “Contest” in the thread topic).

3. All contests should CLEARLY describe all guidelines, including (but not limited to) begin and end date, contest subject matter, prizes, method of ranking (i.e. poll, judges, etc.). ALSO, your contest must contain a link to the main contest rules (that's this page!).

4. HAVE FUN! Contests should unite users and bring out participation; they should not be divisive!
