Bumping Topics

Bumping Topics is a problem on this forum, so for all you newbies out there here's how to avoid getting banned:

Step one:
When you log on instead of looking though loads of Topics for stuff that's new press this:

Step two:
Something like this will come up:
You can click on the topics and lose the risk of bumping!

Is there a length of time we want to set for limits on bumping? For example, maybe we should say don't bump a topic older than a month unless it's for a really good reason, or something along those lines. It would be good to get a general guideline available for commenting on topics that are already out of the "Latest Topics" column.

We already do, it's two weeks. And yes, the creator of the Topic is allowed to bump it if they're making an update or something.

Two weeks it is. Could we get that added to the LSW General Rules page perhaps?
